Here is another breakfast recipe that you make the night before. It is super yummy. Pretty sweet though.

1/2 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
6 slices Texas toast
1 1/2 cup half and half or heavy whipping cream
5 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla

In large sauce pan, melt butter, stir in brown sugar and corn syrup. Stir until smooth. In 13X9 baking dish, pour brown sugar mixture on bottom of pan. Place six slices of Texas Toast over sugar mixture. In large bowl, with wire whisk, blend remaining ingredients. Evenly pour over bread, press bread down until some liquid is absorbed. Cover with alum. foil and refrige. four hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350* Remove dish from frige. and bring to room temp. Bake covered for 35 minutes. Take off foil and bake under the broiler just until it makes the top golden brown. Slice and serve. Use the baked brown sugar mixture as the syrup. MMMMMMMMMMM!!!

I originally posted this recipe back in June 07'. All posts (at least when I look at them) are in order according to date. So this recipe was posted almost a year ago and had hundreds of posts ahead of it now. By bumping it, it just brings it up to the front again. Hope that makes sense.

This sounds heavenly! I wonder how it would be with regular bread or homemade bread sliced thick? I'm gonna try this soon!
