Spicey Oatmeal Muffins (healthy)

1/2 c flour
1 c whole-grain wheat flour
1 c oats (quick or old fashioned)
1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/3 c fat-free milk
1/4 c molasses
2 Tbs vegetable oil
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 c applesauce, any type
glaze :
1/4 c powdered sugar
1-3 tsp orange juice
1/2 tsp grated orange peel
Heat oven to 400.
Line or pam sray 12 muffin cups.
Mix dry ingred.
Mix milk, molasses, oil and egg,stir in applesauce.
Add to dry ingredients all at once,mix just til moistened. (Do not overmix.)
Fill muffin cups almost full.
Bake 22 to 25 min,til toothpick is clean.
Cool muffins in pan 5 min,then remove.
Mix glaze,drizzle over muffins and serve warm.
