I was wondering if anyone has made the dough for homemade biscuits the night before and kept it in the fridge for the next morning? If you haven't, do you think it would work?

Thanks

Missy

I do it sometimes, especially if it is just me and the kids eating, and my only complaint is the biscuits that have been in the frig never seem to get as fuffy as the ones that I just made. We still eat them and they taste fine. But that's just me.

The secret to a tender, fluffy biscuit is to not mix the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until the last possible moment.

Yup, I have to agree. I have made homemade biscuts and frozen them before, (just like the ones you can buy in the freezer section) but I would much rather have the freshly made ones...they are always fluffy. And a lot of people "over mix" their biscuts as well.
The problem with leaving them in the fridge overnight is that they become "pasty" before baking them and they won't get as fluffy or rise as nicely.
