Potato and hamburger casserole

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had this recipe posted once already, but this is one thing that I have found to do with a box of au gratin potatoes besides just make it up for a side dish. Recipe is super easy and tasty. Give it a try.

I did this for dinner last week and it was a hit. I didnt think I would get anyone to eat it but they all loved and there were no leftovers

1-Box of Au Gratin Potato (I used generic)
1-bag of shredded cheddar cheese OR you can shredded it yourself (2 cups)
2 1/4 boiling water
2/3 cup milk
1/2 lb or more of hamburger ( I used leftover taco meat, gave it a great flavor)
1 cup of crushed tortilla chips

Oven 400*. Cook and drain your hamburger, if using raw meat. Stir together potatoes, sauce mix, water and milk into a 2-qt casserole dish. add meat and 1/2 the cheese. Bake covered for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Top with remaining cheese and bake until melted. Let stand a few minutes before serving. Sprinke with chips and enjoy.
