I stumbled on this recipe while looking for something else, and while it sounded totally revolting, the photo that went along with it was surprisingly appetizing! I decided to try it because I was trying to find something that would be easy for my 8 year old to do the majority of the prep work on... and it was really good!
Modifications: We used homemade chili that I had canned and frozen, and I boiled the hot dogs first to plump them up. We also put some cheese on the tortilla before rolling it up.
2 (15 ounce) cans chili with beans
1 package hot dogs (I used Ball Park!)
10 (8 inch) flour tortillas (I only needed 8, and I used 6 inch since that's what I had, and wouldn't use any bigger, they were perfect)
1 (8 ounce) package Cheddar cheese, shredded (I doubled this, we love our cheese here)
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Spread 1 can of chili and beans in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Roll up franks inside tortillas and place in baking dish, seam side down, on top of chili and bean 'bed'. Top with remaining can of chili and beans, and sprinkle with cheese.
Cover baking dish with aluminum foil, and bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 30 minutes.
