4 c cooked chicken
2 c grated american cheese
12 flour tortillas, quartered
1/2 onion,chopped( like to lightly saute mine but ya don't have to)

Sauce:
Mix all:
1 c chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Layer half the chicken, cheese, tortillas, onion and half of sauce. Repeat for second layer with cheese on top.

Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350.

Yes we liked it.....it's not really fancy enough to not like...simple creamy comfort foodeven dd pigged out.

I make a slightly fancier white chicken enchilada casserole.......for me this is a faster,easier,and less complicated way to make those.

I just made a bed of chopped lettuce and thin sliced green onions.....add a piece of casserole on top and a spoonful of extra sour cream....mmm mmm mm.

This is a family favorite!!!Dd and dh absolutely love it...and when I make it I make extra to take to my Mom and Dad.

But if you look,you can see how the ranch casserole recipe is an easier(and more kid friendly minus the green chilies than the enchiladas)
