I've never been to one but I've met more than one person who will drive the 3 hours and cross the border to go for dinner. My brother is one of them. He and his wife and another couple friend drive across the border (a 3 hour drive each way to the nearest Cracker Barrel). They asked us to go once but I didn't think any meal was worth that long of a drive!

Never been...no desire either. LOL The whole place just reminds me of grease. I do like the shop attached to the resturant. I've been there many times, no desire to eat there! Bleh. Definately wouldn't drive any distance to eat there.
We often get their Friday fish. My DH will go get it and bring it home. Now I do admit that I don't like the actual "dining in" experience very much as it's overly crowded, noisy, you can always smell smoke even though they have a smoking section, etc. But love the food!!
I wouldn't drive 3 hours to go to one, but I do like it. There is one about 45 minutes from my mom and we go every time I visit her and then head to an outlet mall that's about 15 minutes from there. My mom likes the store as much as she likes the food - I gave her a gift card from there last year for Christmas and she was so excited.
We have one about an hour away from our house, but we have never been.
LOVE IT! We use to have to drive over an hour to get to one and it was always slammed packed. Then about a year or so ago they built one about 15 minutes from me. WELLLLL it gets better, they just opened another one not even 5 miles from my house. I know a lady that works there and she said that Crackerbarrel is about to pop up ALL over the place within the next few years.
It's OK. I've been to one 2-3 times, generally while travelling somewhere. They sell a quickbread mix that's really good, but I don't recall what kind it was....

We love it!! We don't go often because it does get expensive but the food is great. I like some of the novelty items that their country store sells also.
