Some of you might have read some of my posts awhile back about my uncle who has a brain tumor and my grandpa who has prostate cancer. Well neither one is doing well at this point. My grandpa went off his kimo and is getting worse but the kimo wasnt helping at all so I understand that totally. My uncle on the other hand is the one I am really needing prayers for. His tumor keeps growing and he now has hospice care but just tonite they took my uncle to the hospital by ambulance for a lung infection. They are saying that its really bad and he may not be able to come home and if for some reason he is strong enough to make it home it will be to die. I have been praying so hard that my uncle and grandpa would make it past Christmas, even if it was just a day or too but that doesnt look like its going to happen. We are all just kinda in shock right now. I mean we knew that his would happen but it just really puts a damper on the holidays. Please pray for my family as its probably going to be a very long and sad holiday season.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this around Christmas. I know it can't be easy and stress around the holidays just seems to be about the worst kind there is. I will be praying that you and your family can find peace and hopefully salvage some joy for the sake of your children and your own sanity in this difficult time. I had a thought for you, what about celebrating Christmas with them early? It might brighten the overall mood of the family and bring them together one last time so they can be included before their time is up...just a thought and I will say a prayer for you right now...

Thanks for the prayers they are very appreciated! We did try to get the entire family together this summer (my dad and all of his siblings and parents) for an early Christmas but unfortunetely my aunt ruined it for everyone by deciding that she was going to show up early and then leave before everyone got there. So then the other siblings bailed which was very sad. Its was a good thought though but also w/ this time of year and the weather it might be pretty hard too. They live in Montana so the weather there is already pretty bad.

Again though thanks for the prayers, they are very much appreciated.

I will definately be keeping them and the rest of the family--you included--in my prayers. Cancer is terrible. I just hear of more and more lives being taken by this horrible disease and every instance just saddens me more. Keep your chin up and know we are praying for you and hoping for the best.

Thank you for the prayers all. My parents just headed over to Montana this morning and will be giving me an update tomorrow sometime. So now I am just playing the waiting game-and I really hate waiting! My dh and I and the kids are going to try and pass the time by decorating the tree this afternoon and then tonite there is a candle light service at our church so hopefully we will be able to take our minds off of things for a bit or at least try and put sad thoughts to the back of our minds until we know more. Again, thanks for all your prayers.
