we went to disney in may for 8 days. we got in on a deal where we bought 4 days of park and hotel got 3 free. so it was a huge savings.

the current offer if you stay on property is free dinning plan its a ton of food we would have never ate that much.

we spent total cash on food and tons of souviners (we did not skimp bought what ever we wanted plus stuff for the inlaws) $1440(rounded up to 1440).

it was hot while we were there so we drank more than we ate. plus servings were huge so 2 of my kids were constantly sharing.

also I did need an umbrella stroller for my almost 5 year old its a lot of walking.

my kids could do all the ride except dd 2 1/2 had to miss a couple wich was fine but for the most part we rode everything.

if you want to skip a park hollywood studios in my opinion would be the one to skip if you did not have time for them all.

magic kingdom and epcot were our kids favs and their ages are 8, almost 5 and 2 1/2. animal kingdom was fun as well but when we ask them what were their favs it was magic kingdom and epcot. typhoon lagoon was a blast as well.

epcot also has the kim possible missions right now that you do thru the world showcase we had a ton of fun doing those as well.

Has anyone ever rented the Disney strollers? I know they're big, especially the double one, but are they worth it? Last time we went, we brought the umbrella stroller and it was really convenient but it doesn't have a canopy so DS was in the sun. This time we're taking both kids and although DS1 is 5, I know he's not going to want to walk that much, so I was thinking about getting the double one.

Taking a stroller is a huge savings, plus a huge savings on your BACK! I think that the rentals are not comfortable, plus you have to turn it in at the gate, and could have to carry the sleeping toddler/preschooler or worse - 5 year old!!! From the gate to your hotel bed. Even with a 3 and 5 y.o. this year, we still took our Maclaren double umbrella stroller. It has sunshields and big baskets, so we also stored water bottles, etc. in it. You can gate check the stroller at the gate and pick it up when you get there, which helps with the little one if the airport is busy. You can buy a stroller for a lot less than renting one for a whole week.

I also bought rain ponchos and little umbrellas at the Dollar Tree and took them with me. One year, when my dd was 1, I even tied some ponchos onto the stroller after she fell asleep, and kept her from getting wet. I guess it helps to have a deep sleeper!

Bring your own stroller as it is 35 a day for a stroller. We are doing the merchindise credit for DD's birthday as the ticket does not pay like the credit. If we are flying, we stay on site as it is easier and cheaper to us. We use the disney Magical express to and from the airport to the hotel and no rental car. If you are in the Magic Kingdom, Cosmic Rays has a great menu and the chicken and ribs platter is big enough to share. Don't forget to make any dining reservations 90 days from your vacation start. Crystal Palace is a great character breakfast, lunch and dinner that is not to expensive and has wonderful food. I buy our ponchos at the dollar store as I will not pay 15 bucks for one.

Check out this website for ideas and they have rental car codes often:

check out the resorts at Disney. Alot of times you can get good deals right at Disney. You will have transportation to all the parks and if you get a room with a frig and micro you can take your own food.
