Yes I have (not at anyone though) when my husband and I were constantly at each other...and now we're separated (over 2 yrs) and getting divorced. I have not had the urge to throw anything since.

I think I have once or twice, but I would never AT anyone- and I certainly wouldn't throw cookies! What a waste!

I've slammed doors and slammed things on counters and tables a few times (always at home), but I've never thrown something at someone.

Many years ago when I was working for an aerospace contractor, a manager got mad at one of his co-workers and threw a stapler at her -- and he didn't get fired! I've never figured out how that happened, but it was always next to impossible to get fired from this place.

That woman may be laughing now at throwing food at her boss, but she'll quit laughing soon when she can't get a decent reference from her previous employer. She's darn lucky he didn't call the cops and report her for assault.

When I was much younger, I had a horrid temper and threw things at whomever made me mad. My poor hubby was often a victim of my rage. I feel horrible still for what I did 18 yrs ago, but I have not done it in yrs. It is a horrible thing to do and I knew mine come from depression.

Now if I get mad enough, I yell or smack...depending on things.

Yes, I've thrown things before.
It's been a while though.

I have thrown stuff in the past but not in a long time and not at anyone. There is one instance that was my last one... a couple years ago I was so angry at DH over something I threw a tissue box down the hall at the wall. I realize now though that I was depressed too so that was part of it. I have calmed down a lot in the last 2 years.

Ruthie, I'm wondering if you can ask her to start mailing her payments in.

I had an employee throw a thick binder full of papers at me. Luckily it didn't hit me but all the papers came out and flew all over the office. I would have LOVED to fire her, but she was a minority and known for having a bad temper and so human resources didn't want any problems. So I just had to put up with it. And people think being a manager is so easy.

I did have a boss at whom I really wanted to throw something. I didn't. If I had, the rest of his staff probably would have congratulated me when he wasn't around. He inspired those kinds of feelings in his employees. Instead, I just quit and found different job.

At home I've thrown things a very few times when I was younger, but not at anyone. It's not something I'm proud of.
