I've tried it once or twice ... it never really did anything for me.

I knew a girl that threw things, she broke things all the time. One time she broke a bunch of dishes and then slit her wrists with the broken. Last I heard, she was looking into plastic surgery because she had so many scars on her wrists due to her wrist slashing attempts. She wasn't real stable and I avoided her -- she was the little sister of one of my good friends.

maybe because your kids do it for you?? i would never throw anything at someone, but i have thrown things a few times. nothing fragile or nothing that could damage another thing.

Once I threw a small vase at DH. We had just gone through a horribly painful miscarriage, both physically and emotionally. It was about a month afterwards and I was still in so much physical pain that I was on heavy pain killers. And emotionally I was totally a wreck. We were arguing and out of anger and hurt he told me that I just needed to "get over it" (meaning the miscarriage) and move on with life. So I threw the vase at him. It missed and hit a wall in our room. Personally I still think he deserved it for what he said. And even later he agreed that he was a jerk and deserved even worse than what he got. I haven't thrown anything at anyone since then.

Now when I get mad, I start cleaning the house up. It feels great to take toys and throw them into the toy box and throw trash over my kitchen counter. And I mean THROW them hard! At least at the end of it all my house is cleaner .

I have thrown things, but never at another person - just at the wall or the floor. And of course, then I had to clean up the mess if anything got broken, spilled, etc.

Many years ago. my sister was living with me and my family and refused to help with the cleaning so i got so mad that i threw a bottle of ketchup at the door. I am ashamed of it and dont think i have thrown much since. and i have never thrown anything at anyone.

I used to when I was single. Since I've been married I'd be too embarrassed at dh to see such behaviour, let alone ds!

But it was never anything really major with lots of glass or anything. I have to tell you though that it did give me intense satisfaction right after I threw something. But then later I'd think what an idiot thing I did.
