Our town did them last night. Strange I know. But I think they do it that way so that people can go to the bigger towns and see their fireworks too. We have had a week long rodeo going and tonight is the last night and after that there is a concert-Little Texas. Plus it is the last night for the carnival too. Dh has to work so we took the kids to the fireworks last night. One night of fireworks is plenty for me.
Hope everyone else has a wonderful time!!

Ours were great! They had them in our local town but we went to Pittsburgh instead, there was a lot of things going on down there- concerts going on at Heinz Field, the Regatta was going on so there was boating activities, Motorcross stunts. Yes, we would of saved money staying at home and watching from our backyard but we love heading downtown to see the bigger fireworks!

The ones in downtown Columbus Friday night were okay...not great and not bad either...just okay. Last night we got home from a cookout and were able to step out on our front porch to watch the local fireworks. The park where they set them off is right behind our townhouse complex. They started 15 minutes early due to rain coming in, but that was okay. They were way better than the ones downtown! DD really enjoyed them.

We stayed at home because of the babies and watched them on TV. The older kids loved it because they got to stay up late. The only local ones here were after a baseball game and didn't start until almost 11:30.

I think we learned that our city should have roped off the section that we were in.

But they were beautiful and loud! The companionship was great! DD LOVED them! And DS, after the first couple of really loud bangs, decided that they weren't too bad.

We had a nice night!

We spent about $12 on fireworks from Walmart. I was pretty impressed with the 3/$1 ones.
