ok, so i spent 200 yesterday and finished off my christmas shopping. that bought presents for 12 people. you thinhk thats a good price for all those presents? thats about 16.00 per person. thats for granparents and my bil's and sil, and mil and mil's boyfriend. i thought that was a reasonable amount for all those people. since everything i got was on sale or clearance. do you think it was to much? dh was kinda surprised it was that much but i thought it was acceptable for that many people. considering we only have 4 different stores to shop from. and one of those is walmart.

I personally dont look at the dollar amt spent, but what I got.

But I think you did a good job on what you spent for 12 people!

That sounds like a good deal to me. I try to keep presents between 15 and 20 because I have entirely too many people buy for.

Firstly, it should never be about the $$$, it should always be about the thought

Secondly, if you aren't giving from the heart, it wouldn't matter the amount!

Thirdly, if they don't appreciate it, shame on them!

You did great on your shopping. I agree with Christy..what matters is the thought, not the amount you spent on them.

You did great! Seriously, men never understand what it takes to christmas shop. Thats why I dont even tell dh what i spend! I am averaging 25 per person or couple, that doesnt include the kids or dh. i admire your shopping skills

and it IS the thought that counts

If it fits in your budget, I'd say you did well. I agree that Christmas should not be about what you pay, but if you were able to get 16 people something nice for $200, I think that is good.

i was very lucky this year, i always put alot of thought into the gifts i give becuase i want the other person to enjoy them, i mean if they don't than its just a waste of money right? and i managed to find something that i hope everyone will enjoy and get some use out of. i thought what i spent was reasonable considering i got everyone something they are likely to use and enjoy. and we have alot of people to buy for. and we cut back this year to.
