DS got one of those wooden train sets from Walmart (the KidConnection brand in the red box). His Thomas trains fit on it fine, but the problem is, the track constantly falls apart. We don't have the space for one of those train tables, but we have a wood floor, so he can put it together for a while and leave it out. It has those little blocks that sit under the areas that are higher, but whenever he runs the trains across, the track collapses. I've seen those train clips on a few websites, but I hate paying shipping if I can find them locally. Has anyone ever purchased these in an actual store? I checked a local hobbyshop's website, but they don't seem to carry wooden toy trains - just the more expensive electric ones. Most of the websites have these little Suretrack clips for about $10 - $12 for a pack of 14, but then you have to tack on another $5 - $7 for shipping.
Thanks in advance!

I found them at a hobby store. we do use them, sometimes, and they worked great. I wonder why the track is collapsing though? Is it b/c they just aren't sticking together or do you need more support things underneath?

I found them at a hobby/teacher store. You might check somewhere like that.

I haven't see them locally. You might search for some coupon codes to see if you can find free shipping.

Or check ebay too - they have everything!
