I had to laugh. I am very honest on here. The reason I think my kids don't finish holiday candy is because it goes in the pantry and they forget about it (and I don't remind them that it's there either). But we do go trick or treating and for about the first week they eat candy every day.
My kids drink soda when we go somewhere and about 3 times a week at home when we have it here. Most of the time they drink juice all day long which isn't good either. I can't get them in the water habit.

I'm totally honest in everything I write...to the point of being blunt sometimes. I have to admit that I've had people "insinuate" before that they thought I might be lying or exaggerating, especially when I've written good things about my kids, and it pi$$e$ me off to no end.
No, I did NOT give my kids ANY soda at home until they were probably at least middle school. If anyone wants to REALLY think I'm lying I'll tell you that my 19 year old DD STILL doesn't drink soda. I sort of hinted at that in that thread, but didn't want to come out and say it and have people rolling their eyes. I don't care if she has soda now, but she still won't even try it. But she does drink tea and coffee.
No my kids at 17 & 19 have NEVER had a TV in their bedroom. That doesn't mean they don't watch TV, they just watch it with us in the family room, or sometimes on my bed (I do have one in my bedroom) and we also have one in our finished basement although they usually don't watch that unless it's with friends.
And yes, they eat every piece of their Halloween candy except for the Snickers that my DH and I sneak out and eat!
But just because I chose to parent that way doesn't mean I think everyone has to. Other people are hung up on things like their kids eating what's served and not being picky or about them keeping their rooms clean. Those things I don sweat so much. To each their own I say.

My kids are too young for soda and TVs in their rooms so my answers were honest! I never had a TV in my room and chances are the same will apply for the boys! As for pop, I believe if it's not introduced it's not wanted by the kids. We don't drink it nor do we encourage it, so our kids don't miss it, or want it or quite frankly need it! They drink milk and water. Rarely if ever do they get juice, but will on occassion get some if we go out and eat. This is just something we feel strongly about and will continue to practice with our family.
In terms of the Halloween candy, I hate every bit of it! We JUST finally dumped their candy pumpkins out the other day knowing we're up for another Halloween extravaganza! What is so frustrating for me is that we do limit what they get ~ we only do a few houses in the neighborhood not the entire thing and we do limit their intake: one piece a day. But then Christmas comes around, then Valentines' Day, then Easter and they keep their stockpile going....those damn candy pumpkins keep filling up...and I HATE IT!!!
I'm not about to say my kids don't eat candy, but I will say we don't give it to them regularly; meaning buy it and give it to them. It seems to me they get most of this from THE SCHOOLS!!!! and parties.

These are my family values.
Loved that! In my case, the underlined "little men" are "little people", since I've got two of each.

No the kids don't have a tv in their room, at this time I don't find it necessary nor do I want to pay for the extra cable box Yes they eat candy not everyday but they do it. The whole family eats the Halloween candy! Pop, I do let them have a small glass with our Friday night pizza nights and sometimes when we go out. None of us drink it on a daily basis!

i am very honest on here.
my kids do not have tv's in their rooms( nor will they as long as they live here). yes they do watch a lot of tv( more then i would like at times).
they do not drink pop/soda unless its new years eve( and then its in a ice cream float). neither much care for pop which is fine by me. they prefer ice water and milk(dd chocolate milk).
halloween candy( ds is too old to go out now) is handed out limitedly per day and locked up so they do not eat it all at once( both got very sick a couple of years ago from pigging out on it).

My kids don't have tv's in their rooms and there is no way I would ever allow them to watch five hours of tv a day. We do not buy soda although I would not say that they NEVER drink it because I know that they have had it at birthday parties and friends houses. They do get to eat their Halloween candy, just not all at once and I always throw some of it out when they are not looking.
As far as people being mean, I find that a lot of times the same woman who is complaining about people being judgemental in one thread will turn around and throw some judgement around themselves in another thread. That's bound to happen when you have a large group of women with different backgrounds, religions, values, priorities, etc.

LOL I really wasn't asking for confessions! nor was I taking this question too serious.
The stats just show that we are either a really good group of mommies, or really good liars! :-)
