Could it be the time you are seeing the dentist?
Our office is very busy , and the dentist is great. If you need an after 4 appointment it will take several weeks. If its you don't need a specific time frame , then usually they can get you in the next week.

I think its that way with most places , Doctors , Hair dressers , etc.
