Lady called last night. Our girls are in the same class at the homeschool together in one town and girl scouts in the next. She asked if I was going today, if so, could I take her daughter from one to the next. The friend taking her to the first couldn't take her to the 2nd one. I said, ok

Fast forward,, today I realize I can NOT take Hayvon, since she can't be exposed to anything yet and flu is going around like MAD. So I try to call. She's already gone to work. Well, I made a COMMITMENT *in my mind anyway* so I HAVE to go get her daughter and bring her back over this way to scouts.

So I leave chick, load my 2 daycare kids IN THE RAIN ,, drive the 20 minutes, drag them OUT in the rain to be told...

oh, I'm just going to go ahead and take her; hope that's not the only reason you came.

IT WASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS *sobs*

I hate those times too.

Drove the big ol' expedition that belongs to my friend cause I have her kids.. so I feel the need to reimburse her for WASTED fuel,,, eeeek, who KNOWS how much that big ol' boy uses *deep breath*

She called me. I had called and left the message to call me BEFORE I knew about no longer being needed.

She was very apologetic,, said she owes me big time etc. I like that she was just 'brave' enough to call and say sorry. THAT helps!

What a frustrating experience, but you should know that you did the right thing and the people appreciate you for doing it, even when it's inconvenient. One time I helped an elderly lady unload her groceries into her car and then put her cart away for her and she said to me "there's a special place in heaven for people like you" I like to think of that when I do something nice. It applies to you too!
