The weather is getting colder so what am I dealing with??? Freaking nasty gross mice. Totally grosses me out. I have Decon in all the spaces where NO kids and NO dogs can get to. Dh set a mouse trap the other day but we didnt catch anything yet. Please no attacks on the decon or traps, I do not care if they are inhumane. I do not need or want dirty diseased rodents in my house!!!
Anyone ever try those ultrasonic pull in thingys??? Sorry, I dont know what the real name of them. I am looking for something to get them out and keep them out this winter. TIA!!!

It's mice season here also. The electronic things don't work for inside cabinets and drawers. That is where most of our mice are. :-( We have just been using traps since they are most effective for the areas our mice frequent.

When we had them, they worked fine in open rooms. Since we have cats our mice generally stick to more hidden areas.

The electric things didn't work for me. In fact, I went downstairs to see a mouse sitting on it. I use traps and a little trap that electricutes it in less than a second. I also now have a dog who was the best trap last year. I think the mice sent word out as after he killed 4, none were found for the rest of the season.

Put Bay leaves on your cabinets as mice hate them.

I might still give them a try. Thanks for the bay leaf tip. Think I will stick those where ever I cant put out decon or a trap. I know, I will put up a bay leaf barrier around the outside of house!! LOL!! Just kidding.

Having cats did us no good when we had mice. One of the cats actually brought mice into the house and turned them loose!
Another watched a mouse run across the floor, under her nose, and then looked at me as if to say, "Aren't you going to do something about that?"
The rest just ignored them.

We set traps in the pantry, which is where they seemed to be hiding, based on the chewed-up food packages and mouse pellets I found there, but never caught any.
Now that we've moved, the cats only bring snakes into the house.

we have cats and I think that is the only reason we do not have an issue also. Mice can fit into the smallest hole on your exterior the best way to get rid of them is it fill in all thoose little holes with spray foam so that they can't get in at all. Our rental we had they were comming in the gas fireplace so that was easy to fix but we knew were they were comming in.

We had mice last year and found that coyote pee (yup you read that correctly), spotted around the outside of our house worked. We got it at a local hardware store.
