K-zoo is having a bit of an upheaval right now th GLBT front regarding discrimination.

Some voters say Kalamazoo's anti-discrimination vote doesn't address 'bathroom issue' | Kalamazoo News - - MLive.com

The actual ballot:
Anti-discrimination vote grabs spotlight in Kalamazoo | Kalamazoo News - - MLive.com

Thoughts? Figure I may as well stir the pot a wee bit here

For me, I don't care on whit if a lesbian or transgender is in the bathroom with me, as long as they aren't sharing the stall :D As for men, well, I'm the lone girl at deer camp, and believe you me, most of those guys have no problem turning around and using the great outdoors as a bathroom, with nothing but their back between me and their parts, and for me, I have no problem ducking behind a tree if I have to go.

I would imagine that a person with male parts but identifies as a woman would be much more comfortable using a womens bathroom than a mens - just due to the chance of being attacked by homophobic man.

I do work with someone who I think is transgender, but I can't tell for sure - and she uses the womens room. Doesn't bother me a whit - she's really nice and loves my orchid plant She's good friends with the very openly gay man at work too, who I just adore chatting with because he's hilarious and very kind.

I don't care if what the person in the next stall has in their jeans matches what they have in their genes. I'm there to void waste products, not find a date for the evening.

You crack me up!

And I love your clever jeans/genes play on words. At last someone who knows her homonyms. I almost started a thread on homonyms recently because misuse drives me crazy. Yes, don't care what my DH buys at the store, if I didn't get invited to a party, or what my neighbors do, etc, but homonym misuse gets me foaming at the mouth!!!
