Last year, we almost ran out, and had about 40 kids. So this year, I bought twice as much candy... then for some reason, there were only 3 houses on our street, and 1 on our cross street with the lights on, so we only had 8 trick or treaters. Needless to say, we have a TON left over. No idea what to do with it. Our little guy is only 2, guess DH will take it in to work. Makes me wish I'd bought chocolate this year, isntead of Wonka and the misc stuff!!

How much candy did you have leftover?

We did not give out candy since we go out as a family but we did notice much fewer trick or treaters in our neighborhood. We just went to 8 houses and to a church and ended up with a large mixing bowl filled to the top for 2 kids!

We had just enough, then we shut off the light and called it a day. Our weather was great, so we had 40-50 maybe?

We had tons left over. And I do mean TONS!! I sent DH to the store to get it because I hadn't gotten any yet and he came home with TONS of candy. When I looked at the TWO BAGS FULL, I burst out laughing and laughed for quite a while. We live in a relatively small neighborhood and we live on a dead end cul-de-sac type thingy and there aren't any houses across the street from us (there's a retention pond) so the kids that do trick or treat don't even come down our street often.

So we had the TWO GROCERY BAGS FULL of candy and only had about 30 kids!!! Unfortunately I opened all the bags to make a mix in the big bowl we use so now I can't do anything but EAT THEM....all by myself!

Tons! I always buy too much anyway, but I usually only have one bag or so left over, and I usually keep the Hersheys aside for our Christmas Eve smores in the fire. Well, this year it rained so we had hardly any kids (we usually get between 80-100 kids, and we didn't even have half that).

What adds to it, too, is that since there were less kids people started giving out handfuls of candy, so my boys came home with more than usual. Added to our leftovers, we have enough candy to get through to next Halloween!

We have some left over, I actually didn't buy as much this year because with the weather supposed to be kinda chilly, I knew we wouldn't get as many kids. We still had a lot of kids though and it was so fun! I love the little ones in their costumes...

I'll donate all our leftover candy (as well as much of the candy my own kids collected), just because we're not big candy eaters. So we end up throwing it out. There is a teacher we know that works with an inner city mission that makes up bags of candy, to go along with donated books. The kids that receive the candy/books can't TOT in their neighborhoods, so they go to an event, get their candy/books etc

I didn't buy much this year - bought only for $7 and only my neighbor's kid came home. We live in a subdivision where there are only 16 homes and not many small kids - so now I have some candy. But, I bought all my favorite candies. :-)

It rained here last night so we got only about 1/4 of the usual trick-or-treaters. Needless to say, we have lots left over. I am going to use some of it in the treat bags for my son's upcoming birthday.

We only had 2 trick or treaters show up so we have a lot of leftover. I was thinking I could use the little packs of M&M's for Christmas somehow since they don't have anything Halloween on them.

Huge mixing bowl filled to the top! Normally we get a lot of Trick or Treaters but this year we didn't. I think the High School football's play off game played a factor too, T.O.T. hours were 5pm-7:30pm but the playoff game was at 7pm. So by 6:30-6:45pm the streets were pretty well cleared out.
Looks like i'm eating a lot of chocolate this week!
