Flossing should be done in the bathroom. As far as nail clipping, I tend to do mine and the kids while sitting on the couch, but I brush all of the clippings off onto the floor and vacuum when I'm done.
That's exactly what I do.

I would never, ever floss my teeth or clip my nails other than my bathroom.
That said, I do FILE my nails in the car (not while I'm driving...but I will at a light) while watching tv (with only ds and dh around) I guess anywhere in OUR house/car. No where else and with no one other than ds and dh around.
