Ok first of all dh is suppose to be watching the kids. They both had a few minutes of homework to do. I had to go get a couple things from the store for dinner. I wasn’t gone very long plus we live less than five minutes from the store. I told dh to watch for me to pull up so he and the boys could help with the bags. He sends out the boys to help so we get the bags inside and I notice that ds1’s lips and entire mouth is green. I ask him what he got into. Of course I get the “I don’t know” excuse. I thought he got into his Halloween candy while I was gone. So a little more questioning, he tells me I put some drops in my mouth. I am thinking what the heck are you talking about. I tell him to show me. So we walk into the kitchen and he shows me the food coloring bottles. He saw that on the box was a picture of a pretty and colorful cookie and cupcake so he assumed that whatever was in the bottles must taste good. So he put a few drops of green food coloring. Needless to say, it didn’t taste sweet or good. He brushed his teeth and it came off, thank goodness!
OH and should I mention that while dh was “watching” the boys, he was playing XBOX. I swear, sometimes I feel like I have five kids instead of four.

I'm glad that my dh isn't the only one like that. He was watching the kids the other day and I came home and he was asleep on the couch. Oldest dd had gotten everyone a juice box out of the fridge. I could have strangled him.

Glad the food coloring came off!

I know how you feel. dh doesn't play video games but he watches the kids while surfing. The problem is he can't effectively do both at the same time.
