Nice! She sounds like my SIL. When a delivered my first child, she said, "I knew you'd have a girl. You always get everything you want!" And she didn't say it nicely either!

I'm sorry she's a pain with presents. I just don't get it. When someone gives me something that we can't use or is a duplicate, I don't even ask for a receipt for fear of hurting their feelings. One year we got three of those Leap Frog Farm refrigerator toys. I just hung on to them and gave them to others as they had babies.

HOw old are her kids?? If my kids opened a Clue game but it wasn't on the list, they would be POed with me if I returned it!! I would never hear the end of it.

And calling FROM Walmart?? That is just the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Wow, rude much???

Seems to me though, that this IS what she would enjoy. I agree with everything you say. But I truly think this IS what she would enjoy!

i agree with the suggestion about buying things off the list. i would also buy something for everyone else in her family (off list of course) except her. when she whines, tell her she never likes anything you buy her, and that you don't appreciate her stinginess and thoughtlessness when it comes to accepting gifts. i'd be sure to say this in front of everyone, because it sounds like she will complain in front of everyone anyways.

i'm probably more b!7@hy than most, though.

This woman sounds like such a JOY to be around!!

I can relate, my sister always hates everything my Mom & I give her, we all 3 had a big yard sale last Memorial Day and as my sister was unpacking all of her stuff, my Mom & I noticed that everything that we got her for Christmas and Birthdays for the last 2-3 years was priced and for sale!! LOL!! We didn't say a word then, but later decided that she would only be getting gift cards from us from now on!!

My SIL is similar in that she's never happy with anything anyone buys her. I've bought her Christmas presents before and she would complain about them. I solved the problem by not buying her anymore Christmas presents.

LOLOL.....I would have so much fun buying gifts for someone like this! But, I digress into fantasies of orneriness. I'd have a hard time not buying something at Goodwill for such a person.
