I got a call this morning that my coworker is intubated in intensive care unit. She had all the symptoms of H1N1 but not officially tested. They were unable to get her oxygen sats up and had to intubate. She has NO underlying health conditions that would worsen the flu so this is scary. She has 5 young sons. Please pray that she pulls through.

Update....I just got off the phone with coworkers. It has been confirmed as
H1N1. She is not doing well. She remains intubated and her vital signs are not stable.
This is a healthy nurse who I saw on Saturday that only had a cough, no fever. She has absolutely no underlying health issues that should be making it this bad. We think that's why the lab near the hospital put a rush on diagnosing her because they can't figure out why she got so bad so fast.

Did she receive the immunization?

This is just frightening, Deemom.
