This is why I can't figure out why so many people are against health care reform. We can't continue to pay for these rates.
Healthcare reform won't fix that problem. You will still have to pay for coverage and as healthcare costs continue to rise (take for example and x-ray my dh had recently, it cost over $700 - that is nuts), so will your out of pocket expenses and taxes to pay for the care.

yep ours goes up every year. We still pay far less than most families for health care but its all relative to how much you make in my eyes just like the cost of living. Dh is on a pay freeze so its really going to hit us hard we will be making less than we did this last year do to the increase.

Yes, ours has gone up, too, as did copays. Ours is very similar to those already posted.

The copay went up $5 to $20 a visit.

Our insurance went up by over $100 a month but our flex credits from work went up a whopping $25. Nice.

yes, ours is going up again, it doesn't just about every year. We have multiple plans to pick from so the amount it will go up varies from $7- 100 every 2 weeks, you get to pick your deductuble, out of pocket max. and health care credit.

I work for a large regional company but the division I work in was sold this year. We will still have the same insurance carrier, but for the family plan w/ low ded, $20 copay PCP, $10-50 rx, we will pay $202 every 2 weeks. This is up from $173 I currently pay per check. What stinks about this, is that the rest of the company, has the same plan--but their price is only going up to $178. And they are increasing the spousal contribution from $25 a paycheck to $50 a paycheck if him/her has medical coverage available through their employer. If you only work part-time, well your costs would probably be more than your check!

Our's isn't through an employer (private), and by the sounds of things, I'm tempted to keep it that way! Our's does go up about $80/month each year. When it gets too high, we start over with a new policy/group. This will work until we get a pre-existing condition. We're currently at $455/month (family of 4). Dh just started a FT job with benefits after 30 days, we'll have to think hard before we tie our health insurance to a job.

glad to know we are not the only ones whose goes up so much each year ($100/month..so far 4 years running...)(with the excuse that "factors" change....ah yes I'm a year older..LOL). They offered to either raise the deductible per year to $5,000 or $100 each month..so they'd get you one way or another.

Our insurance did not go up this year. But, where I work the plan went up (I am on dh's policy). We still ended up losing money because my company reimburses the difference between what we pay and what they charge and now they pay more than we do So I am loosing about $60 a month.
