Yes next year our premiums are going up by $84/month. It's not bad compared to what others pay at all. We're just glad to have it.

I agree. And yes. I just re-enrolled yesterday, before the deadline was up, and added a flex spending account for DS's daycare. That added $191 per pay period, so almost $400 a month. However, even without that, it went up easily over a $100 a month. So, roughly, I'll be paying almost $1000 a month for healthcare and part of his daycare. AND, DH has his own insurance at his work because it's cheaper than me keeping him on my policy. Ridiculous, and makes me sick.

Ummm...yes. Every year. They have gone up every single year since 1995 when we first had to start paying into the health care instead of just having the company cover it 100%. Every year the rates go up. Every year the deductible goes up. Every year the co-pays go up. Every year we are told to be thankful we have it or have a job. And now the pay has been cut. This is why I can't figure out why so many people are against health care reform. We can't continue to pay for these rates.

Yup, my dh's insurance went up last spring. The company finally ended up getting a cheaper plan with higher deductibles just so the employees could still afford it. I don't know exactly how much is taken out of dh's check per month for insurance (because I'm at the point I don't want to know), but I know it's somewhere between $700-$1000 per month.

Between the cut in pay my dh had to take and the cancellation of bonuses, my dh's eventually going to have to pay the company in order to work there.

Ours also went up and the smokers are now charged $50 a month (so thankful I'm not a smoker!) and to keep DH on my plan I would have had to pay an extra $40 a month (we decided he would now go with his companys crappy insurance.)

Ours goes up a little every year, we currently pay about $700/month before taxes through dh's work plan (medical, dental and vision).

We could go with a cheaper medical plan like we have in the past, but would have to have a high deductible and we'd rather pay more monthly to have a good plan that covers everything with low copays.
