Hi

I was wondering do you give your 2 year old a vitamin? A friend of mine gives her child the little critter gummy vitamins and he gets one in the morning and one at night.

I read the bottle and it says to give 2 each day and then has the vitamin content for what it does for a 2 year old and what it does for 4+. But when my older ds was little the flinstones bottle says to 1/2 tablet. Is it differant with gummy vites?????????/

So i guess my questions are
Does your 2 year old take a vitamin?
what dosage do you give them?

Thanks so much

Flintstones directions (for gummies) is 1 tablet daily for 2-3 year olds and 2 tablets for 4+ years

Both my kids- 4 and 7 only get 1....as per Ped. They get vitamins in their reg diet as well, so this is just an extra.

My younger daughter always took a full vitamin, probably since she was one. She just always got what her sister got. At that time, I bought the lowest dose vitamin, if that makes sense.

I think vitamins can't hurt but if you're getting too much iron, it can make you constipated.

since my ds has a hard time eating veggies, he doesn't like em, i give him one vitamin a day. but when you give them the ones they have chew, that are hard, make sure you do it right before they brush their teeth because they have salacylic(?) or some type of acid in them to make them easier to digest, and that can cause tooth decay. Our dentist told us about it.

All of my girls get one gummy vitamin a day. I never really asked my pediatrician about. I grew up on daily vitamins and just figured that it is what you do.

My six year old is on a special vitamin regimen due to Aspergers, but when he was younger, his Dr. said it wouldn't hurt, but that it was basically a waste of money, as long as he ate a variety of foods. However, since we found out dd is anemic, I am going to be looking into getting vitamins for her.
