When you make the decission to convert yourself and your family to simple living do/did you....
A. Purge Purge Purge 'til it hurt? Get rid of everything extra and go cold turkey?

B. Purge a little here and there. Decide to cut back gradually.

C. Leave your space "as is" and vow not to bring any more "stuff" you dont need in to the mix?

D. another strategy?????

I'm a fan of the 'small steps' approach.

somewhere between a and b.

I purged a lot. It might have been enough to hurt some people. But in a few months I went threw again and really purged till it hurt. I got rid of the things I thought I needed but then when I hadnt used it I realized I didnt.

You might want to post the same question over on the simple living thread. You may get some good answers from people who having been living the simple life for a while.

I am getting rid of everything in one big motion. If not I won't feel like I'm accomplishing anything! I like to see big results. Its not easy for me as i'm a pack rat but dh has no problem! When he got out of the army he wanted to get rid of all his bars and patches and everything...Um No Sir! I think our kids might think its cool someday. So I've hidden those away.
