I'm in this boat! I haven't gotten anything yet. As soon as we do, I'll go and pick up turbo tax (how I did it last year). But I do have all my receipts (co-pays, etc) ready to go.

I haven't even began to get ready yet! We usually don't get ours done until Feb or March.

I'm still waiting for dh to get off is a$$ and take care of last years. apparenently he thinks we are independantly wealthy and don't need the money we are supposed to get back. I did make he call and now he can't e-file until Jan 12. The government shuts down from Oct to Jan to prepare for the new tax season. They will BOTH be getting down at the same time or dh is not stepping foot in the house!

OH YES!! I am just awaiting those W2's as mine will have my disability pay from maternity leave included in it and I don't have those figures. I have all my 1040 deductions in line. I got over $4k last year and have more deductions this year, less wages for myself and another child, so I am hoping for more than that!! I am a terrible money saver, so that's the only way I can save.

Remember too that if you go to irs.gov that many people can file online for FREE so you don't have to even buy a computer program or anything. I think the income limit is $50,000 but it varies from company to company - check it out. Our state also had a separate website to file the state taxes online for FREE.
