The City doesn't worry about the neighborhoods here, they've got enough to deal with the snow routes. One of the main thoroughfares is near us and my mom and brother were on it yesterday and said it was terrible, and it's a snow route.

We've only got one vehicle, and DH has it, so if I have an emergency and have to get out, I'll have to have my brother come get me, luckily, Mom lives close.

My company had Leadership Training this week is the Tulsa/Paradise area. I got an email today from an upline supervisor that went, saying that she wouldn't be flying home today. She can't get a flight out of there until Tuesday night.

We are still covered in about 2 1/2 inches of ice. What does it look like where you all are?? School was cancelled yesterday and today. I doubt we will have it tomorrow or even Friday. Then they are saying freezing rain or snow/sleet possible this weekend. So next week may be up in the air for school.

My sister is a teacher in a rural suburb on the MO side of Kansas City, and they haven't had school all week because they have a couple of inches of ice. She said she was hoping to get to Wal-Mart today because her DH said that the paved roads were all okay, but she wasn't sure she'd be able to get out their driveway since it is a sheet of ice. Their school district has very few snow days, so she's not looking forward to having to make up this time off later this spring.

We really didn't need anything else to add to our ice...now its snowing. Evidently earlier than they predicted. There was only a 20% chance today and its coming down pretty heavy. I hate winter!!!! I hate it for my poor horse. She has a barn to go into but she still is cold. I feel so bad for her.

We had some flurries earlier, but I guess it moved your way. This morning they were saying that although they're predicting 3-5 inches this weekend, that's on the low end of the scale, we could get up to 12 inches.

Oh thats not good. I hadn't heard what they were predicting. I wonder if they are expecting that much here?? I just wish this ice would melt. You can't even walk in your yard without slipping everywhere. Even the grocery stores weren't able to remove the ice from the parking lots. Its awful. On the newspaper today it had a boy ice skating down his street if that tells you anything.

It is 25 deg here and we still have solid ice. You can walk in your front yard and not even make footprints it is so solid. And it is thick!!! Kids have been out all week, and found out today none for the rest of the week. More snow Friday night and Saturday. The Governor and the President has declared OK a state of emergency.
