So far, we've been quite lucky. Luckier than OKC that is. We braced ourselves for the worst yesterday and got some icey type precipitation but it didn't amount to anything. It was cold, that is for sure, but not what they were telling us it was supposed to be

Today we are expecting to have more of the same. I feel badly for those in OKC. They seem to be getting hit the hardest. Check in when you can Alicia!!!

I will PM you on Sunday to see if our plans are still a go.

I'm in central Illinois and the weather decided to to icey on my way home from delivering DS to his Dad's...2 hour drive. I outside just now and everything is covered with "glass".

Thanks for the reminder Claire!

Everyone else can be under snow and you will be the one to turn on your AC!

Glad things are going well for you. Ice storms are the worst. I'll take a foot of snow over an ice storm any day.

I'm in Tulsa and we are covered in ice. About an inch and a half so far. They are predicting a second round sometime today and a third round tomorrow. I just hope we don't lose power. My BIL is out driving and said the roads aren't too bad but his car is front wheel drive. My Dodge Ram isn't leaving the driveway. I know for a fact it will do circles on this stuff!

We're here and staying warm! DH got called to work at 7:15 last night and is still there. We had a short burst of sleet early this morning. It's not doing anything right now, but I know it's headed this way.

DH got home from work just before 2pm. He said the roads were terrible and only going to get worse tonight. Early this morning about 2am an SUV with three young ladies in it, all in their 20's, ran into the back of one of his company's trucks. The passenger was thrown out the front window, hit the back of the truck and back in the SUV, they were all three drunk, the driver was so intoxicated she didn't even know they'd hit something or that her friend was dead, until they put the sheet over her. The driver of the sand truck said it felt like hitting a speed bump when they hit the back of him. The driver of the SUV wasn't hurt and the girl in the back it broke her nose.

I read that on the news that is awful! It has been sleeting here for the last couple of hours. The temp is 28 but I'm not sure what the wind chill is. Hopefully this round isn't as bad as yesterdays. We shall see.
