They Finally showed up about the basment Yesterday (repair guys) He says " We are here to look at the basment " LOL that is exactly what they ment too ! They came in went down there stood on the bottom step and talked. The older Guy stuck his boot in the water and says " Lets Go " He tells me They have to go get some rubber boots . Now i dont know where they had to go to find these " Hard to find boots " But that was at 10 AM yesterday . They still havent been back. They are calling for more rain so I figure We will have more than enough water down there for a swim ,Heck even a boat ride He told me not To go down there , it wasnt safe So I went to the third step and tried lay over and reach my Pictures ( they are under the stps) But they was to far back. I called a bunch of ppl but no one has yet to call me back about it. So come on over girls I got a indoor POOL in the basment , Bring your suits and we will swim cant say it will be warm though

I feel your pain! Last January, we had so much rain that the city drainage system was overwhelmed (it would have helped if they would have gotten the leaves out in the Fall), which overworked our sump pump, causing it to blow a fuse. What a mess!

The clean-up crew told me it takes three days for the mold to start growing. It sounds llike you need to be a squeaky wheel... I hope there's not too much damage to your belongings, and that it's not too much of a mess afterwards.

Cheers, from

maybe you could open it up to those polar bear clubs - the people you see on the news that like to swim in the cold, dead of winter. Charge admission and you'll have money to MOVE!!!

fyi - there are rules that most cities have about rentals, they can't charge you rent on a house that can't pass inspection. You might call the housing authority in your town if they still haven't fixed it next week. Here's hoping you won't still have the problem next week...

Geez! I can't believe it has gone on this long! I was sure it would be taken care of by now. Yuck! I am so sorry...

I would go buy a sump pump NOW and send the LL the bill, anticipating taking them to small claims court if needed.

As the house in the Amityville Horror said, "GET OUTTTTTT!"
