Oh I remember those days.... I usually solved it by having the kids help me look, at a short time of looking really hard... LOL like they look that hard... mine would usually find somehting else they wanted to do.

Oh and look everywhere... even places you wouldn't ever dream of it being. I found the tv remote in the cheerio box once. LOL

I moved our dvds from a drawer in the entertainment center (easy access to little hands) to a high shelf on our wall legnth shelving unit. No one can get them now, except mama

Look in the bathroom or the snack cupboard! That's where I find things my kids "lose". We keep some snacks and cereal in a cupboard in the kitchen island and my 2 year old leaves things in there all the time!

this sounds really stupid but have you looked under the dvd player or cable box lol. I have found lots of stuff hidden under them before or under the entertainment center. One time i found a dvd under a cabinet that is attached to the computer desk lol we had only watched that one movie 1 time and it was gone lol found it almost a year later when we rearranged lol

Try looking behind the TV. We found some there when they were knocked off the top of the TV - I guess that wouldn't work if you had a flat screen.

Ask her to help. My 3 yr old finds everything that is missing at our house, usually because he put it somewhere!

That's what I would do! When Kels was 3 she used to 'hide things' and one day my wallet and keys were missing, after tearing the house apart I asked her "Kels, if you wanted to hide something really really good, where would you put it? " She walked me to her dresser and said "Right here Mommy!" There were my keys, my wallet and a pair of glasses I was about to replace! LOL

ETA...and check the couch and cushions! I didn't know it but things can slide under the arm of my couch if they fall into the cushions ( so that if you just pick up the cushions, they aren't visible, but if you run your hand under the arm, it's like a cave that eats lost items!) ! I just found a remote we lost 2 years ago by doing this!

We had a Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer VHS disappear before Christmas and I STILL haven't found the darned thing...

I mean really, how many places could a VHS tape hide?

Good luck finding it.
