i AM ANGRY becuase walmart is the only place to get fabric. I have to drive a good 45 minutes to get to anywhere else that sells any and it way more expensive. I go to walmart and not target becuase of the craft section.

I shop at Wal-Mart every week and it's extremely rare for me to ever see anyone browsing at fabric. I think a lot of people go to fabric stores to get their fabric. Unfortunately, this move may hurt people who live in small towns and don't have a lot of other places to buy fabric. But in large towns, I'm sure people will be able to find other places to buy fabric. Also, it may depend on the region of the country. I don't think there are a lot of women in my area that do a lot of sewing or other projects that require fabric.

I'm still irritated that Wally World got rid of layaway, but the loss of the fabric and gun departments won't have any effect on my life whatsoever.

I agree. But I think the thing that annoys me the most is the fact that WAlmart is totally changing from the store it was oringally created to be. It became THE superstore, and ran other places out of business. Now they are getting rid of the items that turned us there in the first place. Now what??? Its NOT fair.

I think that Wal-Mart is trying to turn itself into a cheap version of Target. If Target doesn't carry it, apparently Wal-Mart isn't going to carry it either.
