Walmart is yet again downsizing! They are getting rid of the fabric department. WTH???? Here is a petition that is going around. The layaway one didn't work though so I don't know how much good this one will do either.

They are getting rid of everything that sets them apart from other stores.

I would think that you would want to have some stuff that is different than other stores that way people have a reason to want to come to your store instead of the other stores that have the same thing!

I also heard that they will be getting rid of guns too, not that it affects me in any way, but I'm sure alot of you have dh's that hunt and probably get their stuff there. My grandfather got everything there.

And one more thing, snopes says that the petition is completely useless. You will get better results if you call the 800#.

I am sure it is because the fabric doesn't bring in as much revenue as the "cheap, plastic, stuff"...lol! And so therefore, they have to take it out and replace it with a bigger money maker. Honestly, the only reason I shop at Walmart, is because it is the only place in town that recycles.
n my soapbox: I can go on and on, but I am sure others can relate.

I honestly think I am going to start boycotting Walmart- they put all the business that did continue to still do layaways, in my immediate area, out of business. I have to drive 45 minutes to get to Kmart to do a layaway if I wanted to do one!

I still am upset at Walmart for getting rid of layaway! I guess I am going to go to Joanns and Michaels for fun craft things for my girls to do and myself!
