They are probably standing firm because she lied. If she had been nice and explained using solid reasoning and yes, a bit of groveling, they may have helped. If she whined and had an attitude, I'm sure they didn't. You pay for your school thru your taxes and housing price. I understand why people do it, but is it fair that they don't have to pay the same rate?
