Wow, there are a lot!!
I take hand sanatizer everywhere,also.
Bed has to be amde before I take a shower every day. pillows openings have to be facing in.
Empty sink.
Nothing on counters in kitchen or bathroom.
Towels have to be folded a certain way and color coded by self.
Hate the feel of nylons!
Everything has to match clothing, decorations, flowers outside..
I think I my have OCD. LOL!

My dh quirk is nothing hanging on walls.. No nail holes..

I see some more that are me...

I also have to have my clothes on hangers just like bmsmgwk...it drives me nuts when they're different.

I hate shoes also...if I'm home, I have to be barefoot and I wear sandals or flip flops until it's just too cold to do so anymore.

I'm also bad about correcting everyone around me when they talk (only dh and kids...not anyone else although I'd often like to)...all I have to say is, "Excuse me?" and they correct themselves. Dh just told me the other day, "I didn't know I was marrying an English teacher." ROFL I'm also a spelling freak.

I also find it nearly impossible to get in bed at night if I haven't had a shower that day. I don't care if I AM sick...I HAVE to have my shower!!

MY pillow case openings have to be facing the middle of the bed too!

I used to be picky about my couch pillows, but they're trashed out now so I don't have the heart to be so picky anymore (although I still catch myself making sure the zippers face down toward the couch when they're propped up). I can't wait until we can get new...or at least newer used!!

I am also one who loves the smell of cleaning products...no matter what it is, if it smells clean, I like it.

I also love paper, pens and containers. I save the dumbest stuff until it just gets on my nerves and I have to throw it out...I keep thinking, "but I can use this to put so 'n' so in". I have a whole ton of stationery and note cards and I used to have almost every pen ever made...although I have restrained myself in the last couple of years so the "collection" has been depleted by four children!

I also LOVE to organize stuff...to meet me, some might think that my house must be perfectly organized...and it would be if I had more space to do so but it's so far from organized right now that I'd hate to have visitors!!...my boss used to pay me to stay late at work when I worked in a daycare and organize the supply room...LOL When they closed down and packed up, she paid me to help pack so she'd be able to find everything when she unpacked it!

First of all- pillowcase openings should always face out! I never thought about it before but I ALWAYS do it that way. I am, however, the same about office supplies and organizing products! Dh says I have baskets for my baskets- it is kind of true. When I was teaching, other teachers had me come in and help organize their classrooms before Open House and Parent/Teacher conferences! If the family room is messy, I cannot concentrate on tv, all I see is the mess between it and me and I have to get up and fix it. I like everything lined up neatly. My husband accuses me of "moving things 3 inches" so that he cannot find them!

Ok, let me just say that pillow cases should be facing in the same direction!! LOL In other words, one set has the opening in the middle and the other set is going the same way with the opening to the outside of the bed. Did that make sense?? LOL. At least that is how I make my bed everyday!! LOL

I have so many and I don't know which one makes me quirkier.

1) I am foot phobic ~ NO that does NOT mean I have a fetish. It's the complete and utter opposite. I get sick to my stomach (real story) by the sight, smell or discussion of feet. I try and cover my feet at all times and especially at night in bed!

2) I can't sleep with the closet doors open

3) I cannot leave the house in the morning if the dishes are on the counter. They must be done and the counters must be wiped down

4) Toys have their own places. Clean up does not consist of throwing everything in the toy box. They must be sorted into their own containers and then stored away. (my sons only know clean up to be this way, so it works for us...thankfully) I cannot STAND having missing toy pieces. I will not rest until all parts to Mr. Potato Head are found, all the Little People and their Animals are back on the farm or in the zoo, and all the kitchen stuff is stored away on the shelves. If a cup or knife or plate is missing, we must find it!!!


5) I HAVE to sleep with a fan on...have to. In hotels, I have to either run the air conditioner all night or the bathroom fan.


I too always have my house smelling like pinesol or bleach. I use a mixture of pinesol and water as my kitchen cleaner in a spray bottle instead of buying 409 or something like that. I do the same with bleach and water for spot stains.



There are more, but I am embarassed enough!

Oh I am a complete nut about germs.... no one, in my opinion washes their hands enough...
But mostly its food stuff... raw meat, eggs... any kind of food bacteria... to the point where meat gets handeled on one counter, and veggies and fruit on the other, no wooden spoons or cutting boards.... and Dear Lord in heaven don't you dare put the knife you are using to cut your food into the butter... I'll have to throw the butter out... there is always a butter knife on the table...and you use it just to take the butter off the dish or out of the tub, you do not place the butter on your food with the butter knife.... of course their are always eyes rolling at me for this one, but you know what no one has ever gotten sick from food in my house. Oh and if its reached the sell by date... bye bye...

I have a few ...

I scrub my bathroom EVERYDAY , cause its nasty in my eyes not to.
I hate wire hangers NO WIRE HANGERS lol
my dishes have to be washed in a certain order , rerunning the water after the plates
I scared of driving on the interstate I go around my butt to get to my elbow.
and the one i drive everyone insane with *** I Put the kids toys in order ! that means box for cars , men , dolls and on and on you get the picture.

I get alot of greif for being scraed of the interstat, I think its the mac trucks that scare me so much,

I eat my food in circles. Hamburgers, Sandwiches, Cookies, etc.. from the outside in. I have to eat all the outside edges first, then continue in circles until there's only a bite left. This drives my DH nuts ~ half the time I don't even realize I am doing it until he makes a comment.

Also, I HATE all the little wrappers left in candy boxes. Ya know, when you take a candy out, take the wrapper out too. At Valentines Day, or Christmas it drives me nuts to open a box and have all the empty wrappers all over the place. UGH!

I am way neurotic too.. but I see I'm in good company I can not stand to be late anywhere, in fact I have to be a couple minutes early. DH is always running late, so that is always a bone of contention with us! I am crazy about the house being clean and picked up, and can not get into bed unless it is made.

I have gotten less OCD with time and kids but still have some that have been listed here

I also hate double negatives, I really cringe when it's said and most of the time I have to correct it

The dishwasher has to be arranged a certain way or I will redo it

I hate those refrigerator biscuit cans and the way they pop, I have to close my eyes while opening them

I'm not always the most clean person as far as our house it is definately lived in most of the time but I really love to clean like a freak before we leave for more than a day so it's clean when we get home

Whew, that's enough for now
