delete a thread??? It won't delete -- is the function disabled?

I could be wrong, but I'm under the impression that individual "members" can't delete posts/threads...you can edit the text, but you can't delete the post or thread entirely.

is there anyway to change that - i would make life easier for those that post on the bartering board . so we could erase our threads after things are traded .

I'm sure the mod would delete your post if you ask - be aware that it does affect your post count, though, so it may be preferable to simply edit it that it's expired or something similar.

Yes, I think that it is probably safest to leave it up to mods only. It would get very confusing and "messy" to have everyone going around and deleting threads!! It isn't often that WE do it...except for spam, of course!
