I am currently reading the complete Tightwad Gazette and there is a letter from a lady in there that talks about melting down her deodorant and how well it works...I just had to laugh. LOL

LOL I would let it go. You can get free samples of deodorant and with coupons buy some cheaper that I wouldn't worry about it.

Speaking of being frugal with deodorant / antiperspirant ... my husband's brand of solid deodorant comes with a little plastic lid that goes over the stick under the little plastic cap. He noticed that if he keeps that lid and uses it, his stick lasts MUCH longer.

Personally, I use a clear gel antiperspirant and I can empty the container so this isn't too much of a worry for me. Fortunately, as I get older I don't need to use antiperspirant every day, aging plus the brand I use lasts for more than 24 hours. A container lasts me a pretty long time.
