Can someone please tell me if they have ever thought of all the wasted deodorant that gets stuck in the plastic at the bottom of the container? I mean, I was wondering if there is a way to save it or should I just LET IT GO already
I was thinking about putting it in the microwave and melting it out. Any thoughts?

I just throw it away- I am sure there is a way to use it- Though I even throw crayons away and I know you can melt them and make new ones from it

oh dear - just let it go. at walmart they have suave deod for like 98 cents, then with the suave coupons they come down to like 25 cents....certainly more worth it than your time to eek out spare deod. !

I've just often wondered why they can't package it a bit differently so it's not wasted, but it's not a battle I've ever chosen to fight...I just toss it. But you're not alone in thinking about it!!

Sometimes a the 'end' my deodorant 'pops' out and I can't put it back in the twist up container so I just use it as is for a few days. Once I feel those scratchy 'letters' on the very bottom of the tube I just pitch it. I wouldn't pick it out or melt it. If you feel you are wasting during the winter use one of the deodorant 'rocks' they last Forever and you can use it until it is definitely gone (I'm talking 2 years here).

I agree, I wish they would package them differently. I am over it, but it was just a thought. I have become obsessed with being frugal lately!

Toss it. Several of our grocery stores around here triple coupons every now and then, so I save up my deoderant coupons. A .75 coupon on triple coupon day saves me $2.25 -- most of the time that means the store is actually giving me money to take home the deoderant! :happy dance:

But I do hate when I come to the end of a solid and it just falls off -- usually about a 1/2 inch of chalky, powdery mess into my black or dark shirt. LOL You would think that with all of modern technologies, we could figure out the great deoderant problem.

I absolutely hate this! Really, how hard would it be for them to make it differently. Geez

Yep, mine usually crumbles and falls to the floor. I don't think they are worth saving.

I use my deodorant all the way down to the end, until I can see and feel the plastic - then I toss it.
