allgirls...we get black ice too...alot out in the rural areas and that's why they dismiss school. They feel it's too dangerous for school buses to travel on. We're EXTREMELY rural.

Allgirls - rural means roads that one vehicle fits on or Up and Down, Up and Down!!!! LOVE it!!! I can't wait!!!

We got only the 1/2 inch the other night. We were promised more, but it swirled around us as always. It is already melting. Luckily, the boys went out and played yesterday. I'm at work today.......bummer.

We are over near Madison. Did you get a lot of snow?

Reading your posts make me think that I don't miss the South's version of a snowstorm. It used to make me so nervous to have to go out and drive with all the people that didn't know how to drive in that kind of weather. I grew up with lake effect snow and Alberta Clippers as part of my vocabulary.

We had maybe 1 1/2 inches this morning. Luckily I let the boys go out and play in it 2 different times before noon because now it is mostly gone. I really wish we would get some more!! Nice to meet a mommy on here that is so close to me!!

Lucky for you! Here in CT we have not had ANY snow yet this year!!!!!!!!!!! Yup - completely snowless and it is February!! Somethin' aint right here!!!

WOW! I used to live in Madison when I was a child!! It is the first address I remember (I went to Kindergarten in Hendersonville.) 204 Cumberland Hills Drive, Madison, Tennessee. I remember reciting it when I was 5. We moved away in 1976 - I am old!
