Does anyone else ever feel like they are always trying to do everything VERY FAST?
For example, when I make my son's lunch, I make it super-super quick so that he will stop moaning and will get his food.

I noticed today how slowly my MIL was wrapping up some left overs and I thought to myself; "Wow, I'd have it in the fridg by now." Then, it got me thinking on a tangent that maybe it is myself that needs to start slowing down when I do things.

I was just wondering if anyone else ever felt like they are always rushed to do everything?

Yes, I've been feeling this way lately. DH and I have been married for almost a year now and I don't know where the time has gone. We've been non stop since we moved back home from Hawaii and it just seems so silly. We aren't guaranteed a set amount of time to live so we need to slow down and enjoy what we have.

I can totally relate! I always feel like I am preparing for whatever is coming next. Gotta do this, gotta wash that, gotta go here. It is the weekend and we have time to slow down here at our house. I am looking forward to it!

You must be my DH's long lost twin. He has said to me what you thought of your MIL. He always thinks I am doing things too slow when I think he's too fast and needs to take it easy. He's hyper and I'm laid back -- opposites attract I guess.

I am totally that person....in the gym in the morning when i am on the treadmill i am looking at the other people on the weights wondering if it will be available when i finish and wanting them to hurry.

Going to drop off taxes this week i was like i have to hurry to get there ..

It made me think that i need to live in the present and not worry what is going to happen in 5 minutes

Ha! I was thinking this today... I was going as fast as I could go (making lunch for the kids) and they were whining and the baby was pulling on my legs and getting in my way... well, when my MIL is here and does things for the kids or for me, she is as slow as a turtle! I always say she's the turtle and I'm the hare. Anyway, she raised 2 kids and I find myself wondering HOW she did it moving at such a glacial pace?!?!?! I literally run through the house sometimes to get things done, and I'm fast and zippy throughout the day. Still, it's never fast enough. So I do wonder sometimes if I slowed down some, perhaps the kids would adapt? And things would still get done?

I am like that at times myself. It is GOTTA GO GOTTA GO GOTTA GO.I get so tired of being rushed somethimes it drives me nutty. It was REAL BAD last yr during my little ones football season.RUSH RUSH RUSH!
I have slowed down a ton.It is to the point that I feel as tho I have gotten lazy.I hope it stays slow for me for a while also.We start soccer season at the end of March and I wonder what it will be like then.
