Does anyone else do this or feel this way?

Oh thank goodness !! I thought I was the only one Im at the point that I hate going anywhere . I get teased by friends all the time. But most of the ppl I know just want to go to a bar and get wasted anyway, I have outgrown that Im not much for partying anymore those days was left in my younger days.Im much happier staying in and reading a good book or just kicking back relaxing. Dh however says he thinks i was born with a phone attached to my ear since Im always on it I do feel gulilty sometimes but most of the time Im to tired to care

I am the same way!! Though I do force myself to go out to tea or lunch with the girls once a month. I really mean force, but I always feel a little more girly afterwards. Though after about a couple of hours I am ready to go home. I think it has a little bit more to do with my insecurities than being a homebody sometimes.

We are homebodys as much as we can be. . Then the other half of me feels guilty because I have 2 grandmas both 80+ and I feel I should make more of an effort to go visit them but when I am there all I think about is being at home. Sad huh?

I can never understand how people dont want to stay home, and I know a lot of them! To me they are the odd ones.

This is exactly what was on my mind when I wrote this! I my grandma and mil are in their 80s and are unable to drive. I know I should be over visiting them and doing much more for them, but somehow I stay here. I know it's wrong and I need to change it.

Somewhat. I like going out some with DH but other than that I just love being at home. Maybe I have that feeling more because I work all day. When I get home I want to stay home.

And I thought I was the only one. I only live a few blocks from my Grandparents, they raised me since I was 14 and it is hard for me to get out of the house and go see them. I have lost both my aunt and my Mom in the last 5 years and I do regret the time I did not spend with them (though my Mom lived in CA). I love being at home, it irritates my husband sometimes. I think my problem is both I am a homebody and insecurites, esp now since my 6th is 5 months old and I am having a problem with losing my baby weight and I look in the mirror and wonder when did I become my mother? (In looks). LOL!! Though, I love having online friends, they are the best.

I love being at home, but I like hving people over to my house. I really don't lke going to other people's houses unless I know them eally well. But I also hate talking on the phone, so unless I acctually have people over, I probably would never really talk to anyone.

Well, I never thought of myself as a hermit..but I guess thats what I am..lol I love staying home. It's my place away from the world. I go out because I have to go to work but believe me, I do what I got to do after I get off work on my last work day. On my days off I want to just stay home and do my own thing.

They are more likely to ask to read a book with me or to have me "swing them around" or play "Pete's a Pizza" with them, write a story together, play on the computer, play video games or do an art project. It's never anything away from home. Maybe it's genetic!
It's funny, my kids are like this too. They never ask to go anywhere. Yet my girlfriend's little girl pesters her all the time to be on the go.

I used to be so social. Couldn't stand to be sitting at home. I'd plan all kinds of activities and places to go. It's funny how much I've changed. I think that there are a couple factors. I'm older and have already done so many wonderful things in my life that I'm more content staying home, and I'm exhausted so much of the time that I don't want to have to go out.
