im going on a "scrapbooking retreat" overnight...(even though i dont scrapbook) and my hub will be alone with our daughters for the first time ever (for more than 4 hrs) and he's already whining and complaining!

whooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooooo im soooo excited! he's making me feel like im the meanest wife in the world but it sure is a different vibe when he's leaving for turkey hunting, deer hunting, ice fishing, salmon fishing and snowmobling with friends!

ENJOY the weekend everyone! i know i will!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoo hoo!:rah rah:

I know that my husband would be the same way. I cannot even go to the grocery store by myself without him calling and asking when I will be home!! Whatever! I am going on an overnight at the end of the month with my mom and sister. And he has the girls for the first time overnight by himself. I do it every weekend when he works at the fire department so there is no sympathy here!

Have fun!!

Have fun!!

My DH calls me within minutes after leaving the house all the time!!

Last week I went away for a whole week by myself!!! Although I would love to say it was relaxing...it was a business trip and there was no rest for the weary...I had to go back home for work...8 1/2 hour drive there and back...but I also stayed an extra day because of bad weather (I was supposed to come home on Friday and stayed until Saturday)...He called me on Wednesday and Thursday, knowing the bad weather was coming and wanted me to drive in it anyway...I told him no way I would risk my life by driving in a bad storm. But he had all 4 kids for a week...and was the MOM and the DAD, plus...he got to deal with his mother for a week!!! The trip was worth that alone!!!

By the time I got back a week later, I think he had a new respect for me...I now get help without asking, he'll help me with the kids homework, picking up a mess, he even made dinner one night and helped me another night, as well as cleaning up after dinner! It's been wonderful!! Thank god I have to go back to NJ in another few months...so he'll get another taste of reality in case he forgets!!

Oooh, wouldn't you just LOVE to have a nanny cam for the overnight???? ROFL

I have to say dh is good about watching the kids and letting me get out alone from time to time...but I don't know how he'd react if I mentioned an overnight.

Enjoy your weekend...God knows he's been away and left you home alone with them too many times to count!
