I had read an article a few months ago I think in the Redbook magazine about a family who's teenage son died and they were left with there teenage daughter. The article was about the teenage daughter now feeling like an only child and trying to find a new way to fit in the family. We have been going to The Caring Place and there is another family with the same exact situation and I was trying to find this article for them. If anyone remembers this or even has it can you let me know!? I would really appreciate it!

I'm trying to search Redbook's archives, but so far nothing is coming up. There's no chance you remember anything about the title of the article do you?

Why don't you email Redbook or give them a call? Also, your local library could be a good source.

I know in one of the magazines recently there was a story about Elizabeth Edwards' new book, Saving Graces. She is the wife to vice-presidential candidate, John Edwards. They lost their son Wade in a traffic accident when his Jeep was flipped over from high winds. They have a surviving daughter and I believe the article talked about how she slept in a chair in their room for a year or two following Wade's death among other things. Is it possibly the story you're looking for?

Thanks, but that isn't the one. This story was specificly about the girl feeling like she was now an only child and finding her place in their family.
