We just got a Cheesecake Factory - yum! and a PF Changs. Still I long for a Chevys. There is no decent Mexican or Southwest food in this town.

Still, who am I to complain. I was listening to a radio interview of one of our sports personalities and he said something to the effect that some of the kids on the team come from towns that are so small they "don't have a Taco Bell". Heck, some of the towns around here don't have ANY fast food restaurant - chain or independant. Even a McD's would be a highlight.

So what restaurant do you wish would come to your town - and is that an indication of your town's size?

Ruby Tuesday's, Moe's SW Grill, Chick fil A, Cici's Pizza, you name it, I wish we had it! We do have a Taco Bell and TWO, yes, TWO McD's, but I wish there was a bit more. Still 30 minutes to the nearest big town isn't too bad. They have all those and more.

I wish we had a Wendy's! I love their frostys. Actually, we don't have any chain resturants in our town! We do have Pizza hut, mcdonalds, and subway in the next town 20 miles away.

OH, OH! I LOVE FROSTYS and yes there is a Wendy's in our town. If you check out Hillbilly Housewife.com they have a recipe for frostys that I am going to try. It is called Magic Milkshake. ANYWAY, I digress, I would love a Tony Romas, Fresh Choice, John's Incredible Pizza... places we had in California, but do not have in Iowa...

Just about anything could move in here. We have an Arby's, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut, and Taco John's. I really wish we could have just one nice sit down restaurant. My absolute fav is Chili's and the closest one is 90 miles away. We also have a Buck's Pizza and I guess that it is a chain in some parts of the US, but not around here. They are the only one.

I wouldn't even know how to answer this because I've never eaten at anything except what's in my town! How sad is that? Actually, I have nothing really close to me...we are 14 miles away from the closest town and in the middle of two...about 14 miles from either town. There are three dine in restaurants in the really small town we're close to but none are national chains although people drive for MILES to come and eat at one of them because they have the best southern fried catfish around...the other two are just a little country home cooking restaurant and an authentic Mexican restaurant. Then fast food, they have Subway, Sonic, McDonald's and Dairy Queen...and we didn't even have a McD's until just a few years ago.

In the larger town as far as fast food is concerned, we have quite a bit...Moe's SW Grill, Zaxby's chicken, Sonic, Mancino's pizza, Burger King, Wendy's, Arby's, Culver's, Taco Bell, KFC, Mrs. Winner's, Krystal, White Castle, Fazoli's, etc.

Dine in, they have Outback Steakhouse, Santa Fe, Logan's Roadhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse, O'Charley's, Ruby Tuesday's, Applebee's, LoneStar Steakhouse, Smokey Bones, Pepper's (Mexican Restaurant), T.G.I. Friday's, Toot's, Tumbleweed, Buffalo Wild Wings, Montana Grille.................the list goes on...there's a whole huge host of other restaurants that aren't national chains.

The only type of restaurant we don't have is a black tie restaurant...nothing that fancy in either of our towns we visit.

Chevy's sure isn't what it used to be back between '89 & '92.

We've got lots here and I can't think of one I'd like to go to, except the Dinosaur one that is owned by those that own Rainforest Cafe. That would be a cool one to take my son to.

Where I live one town turns into another in a quick moment so we do have all the major ones around here: Ruby Tuesdays, Chilis, Olive Garden, Fridays, Applebeys, Long Horn etc. What I really wish we had a Sonic, we ate at one in Alabama and it was so good. It was also kind of fun sitting in your car like an old car hop.

My favorite restraunt that is a 10 minute walk is Chipoltes!

I would love for them to have an Olive Garden, Bakers Square (for the pies), Buffalo Wild Wings, or anything like a Champps. Yum!
