We're still trying for #1! But, if we were to choose, we'd have 2. At least I think so. We'll just see what God has in mind!

For us dh didn't want any but Ashlynn was a pleasant surprise. I wanted at least 3. So when #2 came along he said that is it and guess what...2 1/2 months after Brooklyn was born we were pregnant again! Needless to say dh went to Dr Snippy 2 weeks after Kaylin was born!! So we are definately done! We are happy with our 3 girls.

Our original agreement was for three. Since then we have talked both about going for four or even stopping with the two we have (stopping at two has been more my husband's wish than mine and it was due mainly to his getting really sick last year and then being diagnosed with a chronic disease...it kind of affected his outlook a little). We are already discussing the timing for our third, though, so I am confident that we will have at least three. We both know we won't make a final decision about four until after the dust settles from the third!

I really don't think money issues would stop us from having another child if we really felt God was leading us in that direction.

We have two and we are all done. We had previously thought we would have 3, but when #2 was a girl, I know that god wanted us to have 2. Besides growing up, I always wanted a boy and girl and I am very happy with them. we will be able to send them to private school (something that just wouldn't have happened with 3) and set up nice college funds (I really don't want my kids to start their lives with huge debt.) So, I guess financial is a huge reason too. Education is a very big priority for us and I really want to be able to provide it for my children. However we do now have an extra bedroom because when we built our house we added a fourth upstairs because we were still thinking three then.

Well, when we were first married we agreed on 3 kids. And dh wanted them before he was 30. #3 was born 2 months before his 31st birthday. So we were pretty close!!! Then life threw us a curve ball and our son was killed in an accident. Dh wanted more and I agreed. Now we have 7 kids and would have had more if the dr had not told us that he could not tell us that either me or a baby would surrivive if I were to become pregnant again.

I'm so sorry about your ds - I can't even imagine...

One of the reasons I was adamant about more than 2 was that my BIL's only brother was killed in a car accident just weeks before my sis's and bil's wedding. It's been rough on BIL over the years - having all the responsibilities w/his mom and dad on his shoulders. There's no guarantee any of our children will survive us - but I'd hate to become a burden on any of our children...and if we do they should at least have someone to share it with.

Ours just sort of evolved into 3. We were open to whatever God had planned, but think he wants us to stop for physical reasons at 3. I still sometimes have my doubts and think of a fourth, but, then dh reminds me why we should in all likelihood stop at 3 for my health - and sometimes my sanity.

Dh and I wanted 3! We have 2. I got preg. at 21 and it was a big surprise! We waited to start trying to have #2 and tryied for 5yrs.. We went through fertlity and all. Then finally got preg.. As we were going through fertlity dh got really sick with some auto immune disorder and had to go through cemo.. I would love to have an other baby! But we are not sure if this cemo drug caused infertlity.. I don't know if I could go through the emotional part of trying again! I'm very blessed with my 2 healthy girls!!

We planned on 0. I had not really ever wanted children, and I made sure that he knew it upfront in case it was a dealbreaker.

Then I got pregnant with Carson. Ten months later Parker was born. We both new we wanted to have a daughter, so the plan was to try again. We figured we would stop at 4 if we didn't get our daughter, but we were blessed with her as our 3rd child. I had my tubes tied and we are definitely finished.
