Hubby came into the marriage with 4 and I had 1. We agreed we'd have more but it turned out we both have infertility problems. I won't bore you with the details. After 7 years and many miscarrages, I gave up. Now, several years later we're adopting our precious DD. We never thought we'd be doing the parenting thing all over again.

Dh already had a dd before we met. I had always wanted four but I compromised with dh that we would have three because he has one and that would make four. Now we have 2 and after she was born I swore I wouldn't have anymore. Her delivery and recovery was too rough but I've been questioning myself lately if we should have another. My heart says yes and my head says no. I don't know what we'll do. Dh really wants to be done.

We originally agreed to 2, but DH went in for a vasectomy consult and it made me really stop and think about whether or not we were done. So we've decided to wait until our younger dd is in preschool and decide then. We (well, DH primarily) are fairly certain we're done, but we're young and there's plenty of time to change our minds.

We had our girls at 25 and 27. We knew that was what we wanted and dh went to the drs. I have always been happy with our decision and I am pretty sure that dh was happy too. We didn't really discuss it much we just seemed to be in agreement with each other. We did get a lot of unwanted advice when dh went to drs. Mostly from people that thought we should "try" for a boy.
Once in awhile I would see a commecial for something baby and think HMMMM for about 30 seconds but pretty much happy with our decision!
I don't think it was really a financial decision just what we both were comfortable with and what we could handle.

I want a LOT of kids - like 6 or 8 (or more?). (There were 5 kids in my family and all my relatives had huge families with tons of kids running around.) DH wants like 3 or 4 (he has 3 siblings). DH told me I could have 8 kids if I wanted - the only stipulation was that I had to have them all at the same time, and since I didn't pop out 7 others with DS, that was that. LOL I'm only 24, so I don't know that I should worry so much about my biological clock ticking, but I do want a lot of children and we've been trying for almost a year and a half to get pregnant with our 2nd, to no avail. It's all in God's timing though.

I originally wanted 2 but when DH and I got married he had a 2yr. old DD, so now we have 3, and we are really considering trying for 1 more this fall. Funny how you change your mind once you actually have kids

Well, we both wanted four. Then we had kids. My husband changed his mind and wanted to stop at three, but "conceded" to having four because that is what we had always discussed. So, we now have four and are in ALL ways done!! Hubby and I are both incapable of having anymore medically!

We wanted 2-3. We dealt with infertility and had used ART to conceive our first son. When he was 9 mos. we tried again on our own, but then had to endure ART again which gave us our B/G twins! I think if we just had another singelton, I would have not done ART again. It really takes a toll on you emotionally and physically. So We are done now and are very happy with our 3 little miracles!!!

Dh and I both think 2 is great. Actually dh hopes this baby is twins! So who knows how many we'll end up with.
