This sounds like MY Ds #1 (age 2.5). He hates being tipped backwards where he has no control. #2 He is VERY VERY sensitive to loud noises and will cover his ears if he THINKS something will be too loud. White noise is one of the things he can't stand. Could be something pretty common I think...

I completely agree. I would have been a little annoyed with their comment that your son was just tired and needed a nap. They are there to clean and care for your son's teeth, not to determine why he is cranky and if he needs a nap.
