my dd was only out of school today, presidents day.

Here in SW Washington we get a mid winter break this week. We were supposed to have tohe whole week but we have to make up the days of power outages and ice and snow. So we will go back to school on Thusday. We then will have Spring Break the 2nd week of April.
But we do go to school until June 25 th and then we start school back up right after Labor Day

We are off this week..it is called Winter Recess. Then we are also off 1 week in April...it is called Spring recess.

I know a lot of the Louisiana schools are out this week. Especially in the New Orleans area. They get a week out for Mardi Gras (my little brothers are living it up being out, except they have to march in a lot of the parades- band and ROTC).

When I was in school (10 yrs ago) we went 6 weeks, out 3 weeks, go 6 weeks, out 3 weeks and so on and got 6-9 weeks out for summer break. It was their "year round" schedule. We loved it.

This week is a weird week for the schools. They have a 1/2 day today, full day tomorrow, 1/2 day Thursday and off on Friday. They confuse me way too much!!

Aparently my ds's preschool is out this week!! I found this out when I went to drop him off! Teach me not to check the schedule!!! I wasn't the only one there though!

My dd will be off on Friday for inservice and then they get a whole week off March 12-16 for spring break (also for state wrestling in this neck of the woods).

My son is school but my nephew who lives in MI is in town this week with his dad for his Mid-winter break.
